Eid Ghadir

Eid Ghadir

What day is Ghadir Eid?

Ghadir Kham Eid took place on the 18th of Dhul-Hijjah in the year 10 AH and is considered one of the most important events in the history of Islam. On this day, the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), on the edge of Wadi Ghadir Kham, after performing the farewell rituals, announced Amir al-Mu'minin Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him) as the guardian and imam after him and as the leader of the Muslims.

The Prophet declared that if I am his Mullah and (leader), Ali (peace be upon him) is also his Mullah. This event showed the determination of the Imamate and the affairs of the Ummah after the martyrdom of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and its importance is in maintaining the unity of Muslims and guiding them according to Islamic teachings.

Ghadir Khum Eid is considered in various religious and social aspects and is recognized as one of the most important and valuable Eids in the Islamic world. The famous verse related to Ghadeer incident is verse 67 of Surah Ma'idah. In this verse, God orders the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) to convey to the people what he has sent to him.
