It is narrated that Imam Zayn al-Abidin (a.s.) carried a sack of bread and food on his back in the dark of night and brought it to the homes of the poor in Medina. He knocked quietly, left the gifts at the door and went away without anyone recognising him. Many families did not know who was helping them.
Only after the Imam passed away did the gifts stop. When his body was washed, people saw the marks of the heavy carrying on his back. Then they understood who their secret helper had been.
What we learn: doing good does not have to be loud. The most beautiful help is the one that only God sees.
